Book Planning - it's easy when...
If you have the right tools, anything is easy, right?
Was it the Chicken or the Egg? Yes I had a real conversation about that, twice this week. Each time was more fascinating than the last. But while that's interesting, it's also a great metaphor for something else I've been working on.
The book or the App: Which is better first?
Well you decide... because I'm about to share something that really puts this exact question in the spotlight.
When I wrote Start With the Draft in 2024, I wanted to share all the ways authors - especially first timers - could get clear on structure and what needs to be included as part of the planning process, so that the writing and preparation for publishing was easier. I've rescued a number of manuscripts over the years, some worthy of three books just by wordcount, but totally lacking in reader focus and therefore read-ability.
This is the area I am perhaps best known for in my work as a publishing and author coach - how to really get that great information out of your head and into a shareable form.
This book has become a top performer for me, and I'm very proud of it. As part of this book I developed my methodology into a framework, registered the IP for it, and released the concept and tools as part of my work with authors too. From that I've created workshops, presented on topic about publishing of non-fiction and then... well then I looked at other ways I can do more of what I love to do about helping authors.
Ta da.... introducing the Start With the Draft APP.
APPs and Podcasts are definitely the new black!
For authors, speakers, experts with information worth sharing on and off stages, getting real clarity on content and how to structure it for quality sharing starts with the book draft. Yes, that is why I wrote that book. But how we engage with information, use teaching resources, and create content requires more than just being able to read about it or listen to it. We want to feel how it works. Dive in and play with the tools in our sandboxes, don't we?
So, you're invited to test drive my new Start With the Draft APP. It's FREE, easy to use, and if you're working out your next book, or even workshops or programs, then you'll find it very useful indeed.
Officially the launch is on the 1st June, but early testing has been done; improvements made, and I'm excited to get this into the hands of people who want to use it. I'm ready to spread that testing opportunity and give this to you one week early.
And thanks in advance for any feedback. :-) CLICK FOR ACCESS
